Romain Lequiniou is Junior Analyst at WiseEuropa in the Foreign Policy and International Affairs Programme. He has a double degree in Political Science and European Studies. In 2017, he graduated from SciencesPo Aix with a Master of Social Sience in Military History, Geostrategy and Defence and Security. A year later, he graduated from KU Leuven with a Master’s degree in European Studies: Transnational and Global Perspectives. Romain is specialized in European security and defence issues with a strong emphasis on Central Europe and the Baltic Sea region.
In SEnECA, Romain is assiting the WiseEurope team in their work within Work Package 2 (Future Priorities for EU Policy-Making towards Central Asia). SEnECA represents a great opportunity for him to get involved in a crucial EU’s foreign policy project. Providing analyses and recommendations on the multi-thematic relations between the EU and Central Asian countries will help policy-makers from both sides to deepen their cooperation. Romain is convinced that improving and energizing relations between EU and Central Asian countries will be an important challenge of the 2020s.
