Akram Umarov is a Senior Research Fellow at the University of World Economy and Diplomacy. He previously worked as a Senior Research Fellow at the Institute for Strategic and Regional Studies under the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan and at the Academy of Public Administration under the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan. His research interests include security studies, conflict management and sustainable development within the region of Central Asia.
He believes that the participation in SEnECA will give him a unique opportunity to gain new experiences, to establish stable and promising cooperation with universities and think tanks from different countries and to contribute to the establishment of a long-term and mutually beneficial cooperation between Central Asia and the European Union. He will participate in the project as Research Coordinator.
