Berit Schlierkamp is an experienced EU project administrator leading UDE’s European Project Office Rhein-Ruhr (EPORR) located at the university’s Science Support Centre. EPORR is UDE’s professional EU project management unit assuring high-quality application and project management services for international projects (Horizon 2020, FP7, INTERREG, COST, ERA Nets, etc.).
Within SEnECA, Ms. Schlierkamp is part of the Project Management Office (PMO), together with Dr. Maria Gies. Both have ample experience in the administrative details and procedures of EU projects and have already participated in numerous FP7 projects and recent Horizon2020 projects.
The PMO forms the interface between the coordinators, the project partners and the European Commission and is responsible for the day-to-day management of the project and for ensuring overall coherence in close cooperation with the coordinators. Being the helpdesk for all partners, Ms. Schlierkamp advises on questions of financial and administrative nature, monitors the project’s progress and coordinates the reports and deliverables. In a nutshell: “Our aim is to ensure that the project achieves its objectives on time and with the best achievable level of quality, following the smoothest way for all partners.”
