Álvaro González is project assistant at TEPSA – the Trans European Policy Studies Association – in Brussels. He is active in European youth civil society and has worked as coordinator of the European Citizenship Working Group for AEGEE / European Students’ Forum. Álvaro did a traineeship in the Translation Management Unit of the European Committee of the Regions and holds an M.A in European Studies from the KU Leuven, where he focused on European cultural and linguistic policies and European citizenship and identity.
After having dealt with European foreign policy and international relations as part of his studies and having been involved in another project at TEPSA on EU-Turkey relations, Mr. González is particularly interested in the still little known, but highly interesting elements that comprise the EU-Central Asia relations. Within the project, TEPSA is mainly involved in work package 3 – “Awareness-raising, dissemination and communication”. Together with other project colleagues, Álvaro is responsible for managing the social media and newsletter of the project and for supporting the WP3 team with writing analyses and summaries of policy papers as well as with creating infographics.
